detroit.dev is a Detroit gathering for people pushing their AI development systems. That work might be inside a company, as an individual contributor or a leader, or it might be a personal or professional side project. It is for people out at the edge, looking to connect with others who are learning while all of this moves so fast, and for people who are just getting into it and looking to learn.

There is so much going on that it helps to get together and share. You cannot do it all yourself. We talk and share notes on what everyone is seeing and doing. We have a bias toward people who take action: tinker, experiment, share what you are seeing, and pose questions about what other people are trying. We find an iterative approach is the fastest way to learn, and the most interesting.
